Reunions......

Well it's Sunday a.m. and yesterday's rain did not put a damper on the first of our two reunions to be attend during this trip. We and all is seemed had a great time at the Anderson reunion and the turn-out was great. I'm not sure if anyone counted the attendee's but I'd guess we had approximately somewhere between 50 and 60 family member's attend on a rainy Saturday, what great fun.

Now we're getting ready to meet Mom at church this morning, we're going to attend Trinity Lutheran.....................it's been a long time since attending the church I went to my entire life until our move to Phoenix. We love our church in Arizona and it's a very contemporary church and service each Sunday and we will miss attend this morning, but I can't wait to see and remember and attend a traditional Lutheran service. We'll also miss our Friends Fred and Ruth and breakfast after church, don't skip the chicken fried steak Freddie!

We can't seem to miss a evening at one of the local casino's, it's been pretty good so far and after last night's visit we've been able to add an additional $1000 to our gas/vacation fun. It seemed for a while I could do no wrong last night an after Bev dropped her wade the seed money I gave her brought her back to even and that's a good thing! Just let me say the "kitty" is doing well and good so far and we may slow up for a few days now.

After church this morning it's off the Hy-Vee on the way back to the motor home and prepare our dish for the second reunion this weekend. The Ackelson reunion is today at noon and so far the weather looks pretty good, sun is shining bright this morning but with all the dampnest the humidity is freaking thick..............yes, thick, you can just feel the heaviness of it. With all the nieces and nephews not attending and out kids not here this year we're not looking to have a very big turn-out.

My brothers and sister stay well past everyone else leaving the Anderson reunion and we had a great visit, laughed, cried and just plain had a good time reminiscing. It was a good ending to a great day and the first time in way too long that we sat down and enjoyed each other, I want to do it again before we leave Davenport this year and hope they do as well.
I haven't weighed myself yet this morning but after the goodies I ate yesterday and those I'll most likely try today I figure to add back a few pounds. As of Friday the 11th I was down 37 pounds on this new program since starting it in mid February, but so far this trip has been lacking in the exercise we had been doing and the regularity of meals we've been eating. We've got to get back into the grid again starting Monday!!!!
