Like a cornucopia................

I know, not a another comment on the weather but this has been a cornucopia of weather this week. Rain, hot, humid, sunshine, rain, storms and more humidity and now it looks like sun again today.......................yippee! I'm hoping to have my brothers and sister over for a steak cook out at the RV tonight, we had so much fun after the reunion laughing etc. that I'd like to do it again before we leave on Monday. I pray the weather stays nice for tonight so we can get in this cookout tonight and have another good time remembering.

I called an old friend yesterday who lives now in Bagley, Wi. and we now have made the decision to head his direction when we leave here on Monday. We'll probably spend a night or two and might even try and catch one or two of those big bass they catch up that way. Mike Thornton hired on the same day as my friend Dave and Myself at the bread company, I worked with them for 12 years before moving to Arizona. I've kept in close contact with Dave and now hope to do the same with Mike after this visit, you would not believe the stories that come out of just those 12 years. These are both the kinds of friends everyone should have, there were none better during that time in our lives and still today..........this should be very enjoyable and I can't wait. I'm going to ask Dave to come along and hope he can see his way clear to join us, you talk about reunions........oh my God!

On a different note with reference to our global recession and world economic difficulties, now the rest of the free world ( and not so free) have changed their tune with reference to spending their way out of economic disaster. The rest of the world wants to cut spending in order to reduce debt, my God what a novel idea, is that not what we do in our lives? What happens if you get yourself in trouble with debt, do you go our and open more lines of credit and max out all your existing credit along with these new cards? No.........if your at all responsible you cut your spending and try and reduce your debt, you belt tighten until you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Now our president and his administration are at odds with allies from around the world...................Spend, spend, spend, print more money, spend it, print more, yep that sounds a great way to reduce our debt. Heads-up folks, the Euro's think this president is off his rocker too! Can you say "Tax & Spend" or "Cap & Tax" no matter what you call it this president has us heading down a road to nowhere! Is November here yet?
