Devils Lake, ND

     Arrived in Devils Lake, ND last night, 3 days before our reservations at Woolland RV park here at Devils Lake.  Yes finding a place last minute on a weekend like the 4th of July is no an easy assignment that we know.  After numerous calls looking for cancellations etc. we found a place for one night at the Spirit Lake resort/casino on Devils Lake.  It's in an overflow area of the RV resort with electric hook-up only, so we're basically dry camping with the water on board (approx. 70 gallons upon arrival).  Then late last night the resort called and the spot, #13 was now available for the other two days so hey 13 was lucky this time and so were we!

     Made contact with my friend Fran Johnson this morning via text message to let him know we'd be doing laundry (much needed at this point) most of the day after Bev does a bit of work, his reply " I'm our fishing right now" for a fish fry tonight!  How nice, I'm hoping he takes me out a couple of times and shows me how to catch a mess of Walleye's............we've attended one of his fish fry's back at Orangewood, and he does a bang up job with those fish, what a great treat it was!

     The weather outlook is looking pretty good for the next week so hopefully it stays that way from here on out across the north and northwestern USA.  Love this country and traveling through it's many, many wonderful areas not so highly publicized, the rest of the world I'm sure is nice as well but this is the United States of America and there is so much to see, and people to meet.  God bless America!
