Coeur D'Alene, Idaho

We landed in Coeur D'Alene on Saturday the 18th but couldn't get into Blackwell's Island camp so we spent a couple of nights at the Coeur D'Alene casino RV park until our spot opened up at Blackwell's.  We could only get a spot at Blackwell's for 3 nights and then would have to move sites for a 4th night and now we've been able to move to another spot for 2 nights instead of the one night which will make it 7 night in Coeur D'Alene all together.  We like staying at Blackwell's but it seems so hard to get a site without reservations long in advance, and as you might have surmised we just don't travel that way.  When you are "seat of the pants" travelers you usually take what you can get at the moment in time you are occupying!  Hey.........we like it that way.
We had been thinking of renting a pontoon boat again this year here at Blackwell's, but it's up to $300 a day and Jeff and Margene are not able to join us so we've passed on the idea.  Besides you may remember my "close to death" experience of two years ago here after jumping overboard to take a swim.........over weight and 67 years old didn't make for a pleasant experience let me tell you!
We will be spending Sunday night at the RnR RV in Liberty Lake, WA. RV camp area while waiting to get the coach in for a bit of service on Monday morning.  No big problems, just a couple of minor things while we're in the area (Liberty Lake is like 20 miles from Coeur D'Alene just inside the boarder of Washington) we like the service provide by this huge shop in the past.  Having the coach water pump looked at, it's leaking a bit and may need replaced and then the TV antenna isn't cranking all the way up so having that checked also as well as the wiring to the car since the lights haven't been working since Camping world put on a new 4-way before we left Phoenix.  Should be in a out within a few hours.
We finally hit the links again yesterday, it had been a couple of weeks.  We just played a course in Liberty Lake called Trailhead, a very nice executive 9 hole course we've played in the past while in the area. (  http://www.libertylakewa.gov/343/Golf-Course )  We've both been experiencing a bit of back pain and it actually felt good to get out.  It has been a very relaxing few days here in cda (it took a long time to learn the spelling of this city and even the locals us cda a lot instead of writing it out) we always enjoy the cool nights and not so hot days like we've had this year here.  Blankets and the 50's at night and mid 80's during the day..............just what the doctor ordered for this trip!
